This June Theodore Alexander will sponsor M. J. Carter in conversation with Charles Spencer at the Althorp Literary Festival.
M. J. Carter, former journalist and the author of two highly acclaimed works of non-fiction (including Anthony Blunt: His Lives) will present her debut novel. The first in a series of historical adventures, The Strangler Vine is set in Calcutta in 1837 against the backdrop of a country governed by the British trading body, The East India Company.
Painting a vivid picture of the history and culture of 19th century India, whilst establishing an exciting new fictional duo set to rival Holmes and Watson, The Strangler Vine is not to be missed. Tickets are available via the Althorp website.
In 2013 Theodore Alexander sponsored Julian Fellowes, creator of hit television series Downton Abbey.
