On September 15th Theodore Alexander unveiled an updated showroom concept at What’s New, What’s Next at the New York Design Center. Traditional Home‘s Design and Markets Editor Tori Mellott was on hand to give the first glimpse of the new showroom on Facebook Live.
Jamie Drake’s Bastide Sofa in a dashing Flame Orange fabric captured the heart of every guest, whilst Michael Berman’s Califolio Collection exuded quiet Californian charm. Duralee designers Thomas Paul, Laura Kirar and Tilton Fenwick were also on hand to greet visitors and guide them through the 1,000 fabrics available in the Theodore Alexander showroom.
The afternoon ended with a buzzing cocktail reception attended by Scot Meacham Wood, Ron Woodson, Corey Damen Jenkins, Catherine and Justine Macfee and The Keno Brothers. Also present was the new editor in Chief of Traditional Home Magazine, Jill Waage.
“We are so thrilled to be a part of the unveiling of Theodore Alexander’s newly redesigned showroom,” said Jill Waage. “The showroom does such a wonderful job of showcasing all of the brands under the Theodore Alexander umbrella—from custom upholstery to Michael Berman to Jamie Drake and more—and gives the design trade a beautiful space in which to interact with the brand.
The online Magazine Editor at Large was also there to capture the spirit of the evening in photographs.
